Nutriswiss AG

As part of the national Centravo Group, all our products have a backward vertically integrated and fully traceable supply chain. With a dedicated production line located near the Swiss capital Bern, we use innovative manufacturing technologies.

Sustainability

Our production facilities are powered by electricity and steam. The required steam is generated within the Centravo Group. In 2024, almost 50% of the fuel used was of renewable origin.

With the larger portion of the renewable steam, we have been able to produce 2.36 GWh, or almost 18% of the Centravo Group electricity. We currently also operate an additional 1,126 kWp of photovoltaic systems with varying yields. In the supply chain, we rely on our own and modern Euro 6 truck fleet. We use more than 75% of biofuels to power our truck fleet (2024 figures: 5.6 million km driven; almost 1 million liters of biofuels). Our logistics partners also have the opportunity to get biofuels provided by the company's own filling station.

These and many other measures help us to achieve our CO2 reduction targets within the Centravo Group. Centravo has voluntarily committed to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions and decarbonize its operations. We meet the requirements for CO2 certification from the Energy Agency of the Swiss Private Sector (EnAW).

Sustainability means future viability. According to our motto "We recycle sensibly" the concept of sustainability runs through the entire business conduct of the Centravo Group.

Energy Supply

We aim for a CO2-neutral energy mix of sustainable steam, waste heat and biodiesel. Thanks to our collaboration with GZM Extraktionswerke AG and Swiss Ecovalor AG, we already utilize largely eco-friendly energy sources and achieved significant CO2 savings in 2023. Our energy supply comes from a combined heat and power (CHP) plant, which delivers both steam and electricity, while our responsibility is limited to providing the necessary process heat for fat refining.

Raw Material Procurement

The quality of the final product is significantly influenced by the careful selection of raw materials. For this reason, we place great emphasis on high-quality fats and oils during procurement. We address this requirement for tropical fats by focusing on social aspects and sustainable cultivation.
